What could be considered tennis’ favorite couple has announced their mutual split.

In an Instagram post on Sunday morning, Paula Badosa confirmed the breakup with Stefanos Tsitsipas after about a year together that saw the two support one another in their respective careers and share fun updates of their relationship on a couple Instagram account.

The beloved account with over 87,000 followers has since been deleted and any photos of the couple remain on their individual accounts.

In her Instagram story, Badosa, 26, said, “After careful consideration and many cherished moments together, Stefanos and I have decided to amicably part ways. We have shared a journey filled with love and learning, and it is as friends with immense mutual respect that we now choose to move forward on our own paths.

“We are grateful for the support of our friends, family, and all who have been part of our story. As we transition into this new chapter of our lives, we continue to wish each other nothing but the best in all our endeavors. We kindly ask for privacy during this time, and we thank you for your understanding and respect.”

In the early stages of their relationship, Badosa was enduring injury setbacks, specifically with the stress fracture she suffered in her back after Wimbledon last year.

Paula Badosa confirmed the breakup on her Instagram story on Sunday morning.

She most recently fell in the first round of the Madrid Open to qualifier Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.

Tsitsipas, 25, who is currently ranked No. 7, recently lost in the second round of the Madrid Open but made it to the finals in Barcelona, where he fell to Denmark’s Casper Ruud.

At the Australian Open this year, he lost to American Taylor Fritz in the Round of 16.
