New York Giants add weapon for Daniel Jones, sign former Pro Bowl WR

The New York Giants are doing their best to run it back with Daniel Jones for the upcoming season. On Thursday, the Giants added a veteran wide receiver with Pro Bowl experience to their roster.

Defying what many analysts thought the team should do, the Giants avoided drafting a rookie quarterback for the upcoming season. Instead, they gave Jones a talented offensive weapon by selecting Malik Nabers with the No. 6 pick. They also took tight end Theo Johnson as insurance if Darren Waller chooses to retire.

Allen Robinson signed with the Giants

Per a statement by the Giants, the team signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Allen Robinson:

Robinson, 6-2 and 220 pounds, has 562 career receptions for 7,028 yards and 43 touchdowns in 127 games (122 starts). He made the Pro Bowl in 2015, when his 14 touchdown catches tied the NFL lead and set the Jaguars’ single-season franchise record.

The Giants will arguably have their best receiver corps in the Jones era with Darius Slayton, Robinson, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Isaiah Hodgins, Nabers, and Allen on the roster.
