Where Caleb Williams stands in 2024 NFL MVP odds after being No. 1 pick

Caleb Williams is the newest star in the NFL, and everyone in Chicago must be excited for the new-look Bears.

We know that Williams is the odds-on favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year, but Williams is also getting tons of respect to win the NFL MVP Award as well.

Williams opened at 50/1 on DraftKings to win the NFL MVP Award, the 19th-best odds and better than Tyreek Hill, Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield.

Just one time has a rookie won the MVP Award, but you have to go back to 1951 when Jim Brown won it as a member of the Cleveland Browns.

It’s not that outlandish, though, as just last season, Texans rookie CJ Stroud rocketed up the oddsboard to 20/1 status to win MVP in November.

Stroud wound up being a shoo-in to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, closing at -1000 to win the award.

Williams could have a similar impact on the Bears that Stroud has had on the Texans, especially with the Bears drafting explosive wide receiver Rome Odunze at No. 9 overall.

DraftKings’ odds on Williams to win the MVP award in his rookie year is the most respect he’s getting on the legal betting market.

You can snag Williams as high as 80/1 on BetMGM, which is significantly more valuable to win the award and put himself among the league’s pantheon.

He held 150/1 odds before the draft at the sportsbook.

Stroud already showed the league that it is more than possible feat to pull off, especially if Williams has the necessary weapons to put up the required gaudy numbers.

Of course, team success plays a major role and the Bears’ over/under win total is just 8.5.

For this bet to have a prayer, they’ll need to win at least double-digit games and contend for the playoffs.
