New York Knicks: Jalen Brunson’s Heartfelt Reaction to MVP Chants from MSG Crowd in Game 2 Win Vs. Pacers

New York Knicks news: Nikola Jokic was officially announced as the 2023-24 NBA Most Valuable Player on Wednesday night. If you ask Knicks fans, however, there is no doubt in their hearts and minds as to who their real MVP is.

Jalen Brunson turned in another majestic performance in New York’s Game 2 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, and as always, his heroics were much appreciated by the adoring Madison Square Garden home crowd.

New York Knicks News: Jalen Brunson Shouts Out MSG Fans

Despite suffering an injury scare early in Game 2, Brunson powered through the pain to lead the Knicks to a crucial win. He finished with 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting to lift New York to a 2-0 series advantage over Indiana.

At one point in the game, the home crowd showered the Knicks superstar with MVP chants as they witnessed another special performance from the 6-foot-2 guard. When asked to share his reaction to the outpouring of support, Brunson just had to shoutout the New York faithful:

“This place has been nothing but special for me,” he said. “I appreciate everything they do. It’s really cool to hear, but I just knew I had to get my mind in the right place.”

Brunson and the Knicks should expect a much more hostile crowd now that this series is headed to Indiana for Games 3 and 4. Tyrese Haliburton and Co. may be down, but they sure as hell are not out just yet.
