Ex-76ers owner Michael Rubin trolls Knicks fan over Fanatics sports betting losses in deleted tweet

Ex-76ers owner and Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin had some fun at the Knicks and bettors’ expense.

“Fanatics Sportsbook crushed it yesterday thanks to all the Knicks fans betting against the Sixers—it made me so happy!! I just wanted to say thank you to all the Knicks fans,” Rubin, who also runs Fanatics Sportsbook, wrote in a now-deleted post on X.

The trolling came after the 76ers rallied for a 112-106 overtime win on the shoulders of Tyrese Maxey’s 46-point outing that pushed the series to a sixth game.

BetMGM reported that 79 percent of the money was on the Knicks -3.5, while DraftKings told The Post that the Knicks were their highest liability of any NBA team for Tuesday’s slate.

Rubin, who was in attendance for the Knicks’ Game 5 collapse in The Garden, sold his 10 percent stake in the 76ers in 2022 in order to dive further into the sports betting business as a sort of separation between church and state.

At the time, Rubin said he was shifting from owner “back to life-long fan.”

Some would categorize Wednesday’s post as being of bad taste –– at face value, it’s a sportsbook owner laughing at losing bettors — but Rubin is also rabid 76ers fan.

He did not delete his response to a user questioning why he would take joy in bettors’ losses.

“Only cause it was the going against my squad!’😂,” Rubin posted on X.

Knicks fans have been roasting Joel Embiid all series long, serenading the “Most hated man in New York” with “F–k Embiid” chants.

Meanwhile, the villain of Game 5, Maxey, was flipped off by Tracy Morgan after he tied the game in incredible fashion in the fourth quarter.

Where the Knicks’ optimism goes from here is where things get interesting. They’ve opened as three-point underdogs at Fanatics for Thursday’s Game 6 matchup in Philadelphia.

The Knicks are +125 on the moneyline to close the series on the road.
