Best NBA player prop bets to consider for Pacers vs. Knicks in Game 2

Published

on

Game 2 between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks in the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs will take place Wednesday, with the home side holding a 1-0 lead looking to go up 2-0 in the series. The Pacers will look to replicate their offensive effort from Game 1 while also getting more production from Tyrese Haliburton, while the Knicks will try to re-discover their defensive prowess from the first round.

Here’s a look at some of our favorite player prop bets to target for Game 2 Wednesday, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Josh Hart over 29.5 points + rebounds (-108)

If Hart is going to play the entire game, his stat line will always be inflated a bit. The Villanova connection has worked well for the Knicks and injuries to key players has allowed Hart to take on a bigger role. He’s a menace on the boards and his three-point shooting has taken a leap during the postseason, which has allowed him to produce at a high level. He’s averaging 17.9 points and 12.4 rebounds per game during the playoffs, so he should be able to get over this line as long as he doesn’t get in foul trouble.

Tyrese Haliburton over 2.5 3-pointers (-135)

I don’t think the Pacers star is quite as passive in Game 2 as he was in Game 1, He hit two triples for his only points of the game on five attempts, and he’s generally shot the ball well from the perimeter outside of a few major stinkers. Haliburton struggled from the perimeter during the final third of the regular season, but he’s been a 40%+ three-point shooter in every season before this one. At some point, he’s going to start knocking these shots down at a much better clip. I think he goes over this mark tonight.

Obi Toppin over 9.5 points (-112)

Toppin has quietly been going over this line in the playoffs. He may have truly emerged in Indiana’s rotation during Game 6 against the Bucks, but he’s averaging 14.6 points per game over the last five playoff games. Playing at his former arena against his former franchise is surely motivating Toppin, who should continue to see enough minutes in the Pacers rotation to get over this line Wednesday.

Isaiah Hartenstein under 9.5 rebounds (+100)

There’s tremendous value here because of Hart’s rebounding prowess, as noted above. Hartenstein is going to take on more with Mitchell Robinson sidelined but he actually hasn’t had to do much on the glass thanks to the Knicks supporting cast being more aggressive there. The big man has gone under this line in every single playoff game, logging only six rebounds in the series opener. I think he continues to be a productive player but stays under this line in Game 2.
