Anne Hathaway sets the glamour quotient high at Idea of You premiere in New York City

Anne Hathaway is setting major style goals with her latest appearance at the premiere of The Idea of You at the Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on April 29. Looking absolutely stunning in a red gown, the 41-year-old actress smiled from ear to ear as she posed for the paps. Her dress featured a structured bandeau style with cutouts just below the bust line. Panelling along the sides and middle in both the front and back added depth to the design, giving it a futuristic look.

To accessorise, she opted for silver jewellery, With a pair of drop earrings with green accents, she wore silver rings on both hands. For her makeup, she went for a soft glam look, with bold eyeliner and a shiny nude lip. She styled her hair in a flirty ponytail, with bangs falling at her brows, completing her chic and sophisticated ensemble.

On April 28, Hathaway stepped out for a special screening of the romantic comedy film and stunned fans with three gorgeous outfit changes in one day. She started with an all-leather look by Ralph Lauren then switched to a white Patou ensemble complete with a minidress, a cropped jacket and a handbag. The actress quickly changed to an aquamarine blue Simkhai look, featuring a tank top and skirt with sheer panels.  

Hathaway plays the role of Soléne in The Idea of You. Other than playing the lead role, she is also producing the film. The movie follows the love story between Soléne and Hayes (played by Nicholas Galitzine), a boy band member nearly two decades her junior.

Speaking about her character and the film at SXSW in March, Hathaway said, “In the beginning of the film, the character…she’s really scared of going on that adventure because she’s had such a rough experience with her ex-husband. And so to me, I was incredibly moved by the opportunity to tell the story of a woman blooming.”

Meanwhile, Galitzine said that the chemistry between him and Hathaway is “transformative.” He added, “I think it was really at that moment that we kind of knew that there was a connection — that there was a chemistry there and it was so much fun in that audition, which is rare to say.”

The Idea of You will premiere on Prime Video on May 2.
