The 2024 Super Bowl is here. Six months of NFL preseason, regular season, and playoff games have led to this. The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will face off at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada to determine the NFL champion this season.
Kansas City enters the Super Bowl with one of the best defenses in the NFL. Since the Chiefs’ bye in Week 10, that unit’s allowed just 17 points per game. They’ve been especially stout in the second half when they’ve allowed less than six points per game since the bye week. On offense, two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes hasn’t turned the ball over in three playoff games and is consistently making plays to keep the Chiefs ahead.
Shining in the playoffs: Chiefs’ receivers pushed past brutal errors to help guide Super Bowl return
San Francisco’s battled back from deficits in both the divisional and conference championship rounds of the 2024 NFL playoffs. Wins over Green Bay and Detroit sealed the 49ers’ first trip to the Super Bowl in four years when they faced the Chiefs in Super Bowl 54. Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey and the offense were one of the highest-scoring units in the regular season. The defense has struggled in the playoffs but features stars like defensive lineman Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner.
These two teams are the best in the league and the spread for the Super Bowl’s stayed close in the lead up to the game.
