What is the New York Jets record on Monday Night Football? | Sporting News

on

The Jets will open their 2024 season on the road against the 49ers in Week 1 on ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”

It’s a big game for a lot of reasons
, the least of which being the return of Rodgers following his Achilles injury almost a year ago to date in Week 1 of the 2023 season on “Monday Night Football” against the Bills. The match also kicks off a season
of monumental importance
for the Jets, who hope to break the longest active postseason drought in the NFL at 13 seasons.

New York has played 60 times on Monday night since 1969. The Jets are 24-36 all-time in those contests. They went 1-1 in 2023 after the Jets beat the Bills
in the Week 1 overtime thriller before they lost to the Chargers in a Week 9 blowout defeat.

This marks the first time in franchise history that the Jets will play consecutive season-opening games on Monday night, per Jets Communications. It’s also the team’s first away opener since 2021

What is the New York Jets record on Monday Night Football?

New York last played in San Francisco on Monday night in 2001, where the Jets lost to the 49ers, 19-17. Unsurprisingly, the Jets have played the Dolphins, Patriots and Bills the most. New York is 4-9 against Miami, 2-9 against New England and 3-2 against Buffalo on Monday night. The Jets are also 1-1 against the Colts on MNF games.

Here are all 60 “Monday Night Football” games for the Jets, including the opponent and results.
