Essential Functions
The UTSA Film/Media program is hiring a Visiting Assistant Professor for start in Spring 2024
Experience/Degree and Other Skills Required: MFA and production experience on theatrically-distributed features and/or national advertising campaigns
Other Skills/Degree Preferred: major credits as cinematographer; demonstrable dedication to community service
Description of Job Duties: Teach 3 courses per semester, with significant mentoring and service expected to growing Film/Media Program (including organizing and executing workshops and other events; advising equipment and facilities investments; maintaining and checking out equipment; involving students in creative productions; advising student productions; and more)
Additional InformationUTSA is a tobacco free campus.This is a security sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.Valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located
on campus . Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
