POLL: How many games do you expect the New York Giants to win in 2024?

You have seen the New York Giants’ 2024 NFL schedule. You have had a chance to see Tony DelGenio’s game-by-game prediction. You have had a chance to read my thoughts on the schedule. You have had an opportunity (I hope) to sleep on your own thoughts after Wednesday evening’s official schedule release.

So, what do you think? How many games do you expect the Giants to win during 2024, a year in which they are celebrating their 100th NFL season and would, obviously, like to do by having a season to be proud of.

Here are a couple of my own thoughts beyond what I wrote Wednesday night.

  • I don’t put a whole lot of stock in the strength of schedule based on opponents’ records from last season. That would have the Giants with the sixth-hardest schedule in the NFL. Teams are different every year, so it’s about what they are now, and what they are at the time the Giants play them.
  • Looking at the schedule, in my view the Giants really need to win their first two games to have a legitimate chance to be relevant by midseason. Both of those games, an opener at home against the Minnesota Vikings in which they are favored and Week 2 on the road vs. the Washington Commanders, could be against rookie quarterbacks. Those are games you want to take advantage of. Plus, it will be disappointing if the Giants waste the hoopla of the Week 1 100th season celebration. The five-game stretch that follows Weeks 1 and 2 does not look appetizing.

Below is the full regular season schedule. Vote in the poll at the bottom.
