Chelsea on the up
United have struggled to replicate last season’s efforts, especially at Old Trafford, where they have lost five of their 11 matches in all competitions this term.
In particular, Erik ten Hag’s side have struggled against top-level opposition, losing to Newcastle United twice, Manchester City, Arsenal, Spurs and Brighton already this season. They may have similar trouble against a Chelsea outfit who are inconsistent but on the up.
The Blues won just one of their first six Premier League matches this term but have recently won six of their past 10 games in all competitions, with valuable draws against Manchester City and Arsenal.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have found their goalscoring touch, netting 12 times in their previous four games, and they could flourish against a leaky Red Devils backline.
United looked devoid of confidence in their 1-0 loss at Newcastle and Chelsea are fancied to inflict further pain on their opponents with victory in this one.

Palmer to continue hot streak
Cole Palmer made the move from the blue half of Manchester to Chelsea this summer and could land on the scoresheet against his former club’s old rivals.
The youngster has four league goals in seven starts this term and has been handed the responsibility of being the Blues’ penalty taker, a major endorsement from his new side.
Against a defence who have been shaky recently, take Palmer to get on the scoresheet.

Jackson in the thick of it
New signing Nicolas Jackson has been at the heart of the action in more ways than one this season for Chelsea, picking up seven bookings alongside his six goals.
The forward could well add to his scoring tally in this match and he can also show another side to his game, his preference for taking plenty of shots.
Jackson is averaging 3.10 shots per 90 minutes this season and is facing a United back line who have allowed 212 shots this campaign. Only four teams have allowed more.
Take Jackson to pick up a card and have three or more shots.
Round off the bet builder with both teams to score, an option that has landed in five of the Blues’ last seven away games.
