MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Kimberly Bulldogs girls basketball team defeated the McCall-Donnelly Vandals 45-44 in a 3A State Play-in game at Mountain Home High School and the Valley Vikings girls basketball team defeated Lakeside 55-45 in the 1A-D1 State play-in game at Grangeville High School.

Kimberly trailed by 10 at one point in the fourth quarter, but a huge team effort and run propelled them to a narrow one point victory and State Tournament berth.

Valley led by 12 at half and saw their lead trimmed to as little as four with 90 seconds left in the game, but the Vikings were able to hang on for the win and State Tournament berth as well.

Idaho girls basketball state tournament brackets will be released Sunday and we will have an article with that information when it becomes available.
