2024 PGA Championship predictions, odds: Five expert picks to win from Valhalla

Rory McIlroy (+750)

I wanted to pick a dark horse, stay away from chalk, but too many signs point to McIlroy ending his 10-year drought without a major — dating back to the 2014 PGA at Valhalla.

McIlroy is coming off his dominant win at Wells Fargo on Sunday and he thrives on courses on where he’s had past success.

It, too, is wet from rain already, which favors the long hitters like Rory.

Scottie Scheffler (+400)

More chalk. He’s too good to bet against.

World No. 1 enters the week having won four of his last five starts, including the Masters.

Yes, even more chalk.

Big-game hunter is coming off a win in his last LIV Golf start, has already won the PGA three times and brawny Valhalla looks like a bomber’s paradise. All of these things fit Koepka.

Bryson DeChambeau (28/1)

Another big hitter I expect to play well this week — one of the best bomb-and-gouge guys out there.

Cameron Young (55/1)

His season has been somewhat quiet, but Young is a long hitter who has done well at the PGA Championship and is starved to win his first PGA Tour tournament.
